Mac Safari Quit Problem?

Since I put the new Snow Leopard (Version 6.0) if you accidentally press the command for quit it quits directly without asking. Before, if you had 2 or more pages open it always asked you if you wanted to quit, now it just quits, no matter if you have 10 tabs and windows opened. How can I bring the notice back?

    in safari, preferences, tabs, there should be a checkbox for "confirm before closing multiple tabs or windows."
