How do I get software to use English?
I have a computer I bought in Germany, with a German keyboard, but I have installed Windows 7 in English. Most software allows me to choose my installation language but some programs, like HP's Photosmart (not) insists on installing in German, but does not give me any obvious option to change to English. Is there a system setting I can use to overcome this problem?
I have changed the obvious things in the language options in the Control Panel bu to no avail. It is strange, my whole operating environment is in English and nearly all of my programs, but the recovery disk only wants to work in German and some software including the crappy but unavoidable software shipped with HP printers only installs in German. I'm thinking there is a registry entry I need to get at.

Yes you need to go to the regional and language settings and change everything to English
