An example of how the United Nations has developed "friendly relations among nations"?

The UNO provides a platform for taking problems, discussing problems and arriving at solutions. Representatives of Nations are provided an opportunity to meet at regular intervals at a common place, where bilateral discussions also take place. It provides better opportunity for third party mediation as well. These meetings, healthy participation at elections to the offices of the UN and active paricipation in activities connected with the UN bodies and specialised agencies have provided an opportunity for friendly relations among Nations.

I can't think of anything the UN has done besides allow third world dictators a larger stage to spew their idiocy.

But... the ONU gives the oportunity of representants of all nations to be in one only room, discussing, whithout the need of guns in his hands.
