In total medal count in the Olympics, the USA comes in right?
behind China. In math, we rank 35th in the world. In science, we rank 29th in the world. Does this mean that "We aren't very smart but we can lift heavy things"?

I am an engineer and am embarassed that the airplane manufacturer I work for has to get many new engineers from overseas because we aren't graduating them in sufficient numbers here in America.

this time US is behind China in Gold medal count and the overall medal count too.
I do not know what our rank in math is but I have master's degree in math and there do exist brilliant mathematicians in US. Though they are few and limited, but they do exist.

Actually we don't have any medals this year in weightlifting, and all other sports don't require "lifting heavy things."
