Greyhound travel with interruption?
I am planning to take a bus to San Francisco from Los Angeles. As the trip is quite long I want to stay in a hotel in Coalinga, which is a stop on the way.
Now, is it possible to use the ticket to SFO twice? So I will use it at the beginning and on the next day, when entering the bus in Coalinga again, can I still use it? Or do I need to buy 2 separate tickets LA -> Coalinga and Coalinga -> SFO ?

You would need two separate tickets. Coalinga is a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. The only thing there of any consequence is a state prison.

Good question.
The ticket from LA to SF would work if you didn't get off the bus in Coalinga. Since you want to stay there overnight (why ? It's a horrible town)

So you're better off buying LA > Coalinga. Coalinga > SF the next day.
Buying 2 tickets might cost a lot more. I think you should stay on the bus and go straight thru.
It's just an 8 hour trip. That way you would save by buying one ticket and not having to pay for a motel in Coalinga.

That would be two separate tickets.
Why not go Amtrak? It would be much easier, as you can get up and walk around the train.
