What can this computer warning mean?
Laptop can not connect to Internet with Explorer browser.
I reset the whole operating system to an earlier date, but that's not the problem
(or so it seems)
I reset the browser itself, but still can't connect to Internet.
And this message appears when I close the nonworking Explorer window;
"A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly.
If it continues to run your computer might become unresponsive."
I know very little about solving softwear problems, but where could this
"warning message" come from.
What's a script?
And why when I answer "yes" to closing this "script" down does the message
reappear when ever I try to start the Explorer?

If you do not need scripts enabled in your browser you can go to your Internet Explorer security settings and choose to disable scripts for your browser. If this doesn't work you could also try to download a different browser such as Firefox. There are a lot of cross-browser incompatibilities when it comes to scripting, so it might just help.

i've got by no ability heard of this in the past. Get "Avast!" loose anti virus. It protects you against viruses, alerts you if one has been detected, and does daily scans of your laptop. For $20 you may get the extra stepped forward version that has plenty extra secure practices. in case you have a domicile windows laptop bypass down the little field that comes up once you click the domicile windows image on the backside left corner of your laptop. seek "domicile windows defender". Do an endemic test utilising the two domicile windows defender and "Avast!". do no longer use Norton. It slows down your laptop. If it is a few thing pronounced as device gadget be warned. it is a Trojan virus. It tries to get you to pass into your credit card selection so it may charge you to do away with the virus. do no longer do it. it is a scam. If all else fails try calling Geek Squad or bypass to place of work Depot. good luck xx
