What is pro wrestling's real world title?

On TNA Bobby Roode said the TNA World Title was the greatest World Title in westling(only 10 champions smh Bobby just smh)

Michael Cole said the WWE Title is greatest World Title in wrestling history

Long time wrestling fans say the NWA/AWA title is.

There can only be 1. Which do you think it is?

I say the WWE Championship since everyone(even non wrestling fans) know what the WWE is.

If we look at this honestly the WWE titles are the biggest titles in pro wrestling seeing as WWE is by far the biggest company. If you look at the legacy of the WWE you can also say that the WWE title is the biggest title in the history of the business and WWE is the biggest company in the history of the business.

The WWE Championship is the most recognized champion in the world. The NWA Championship has lost a lot of steam since now it's just a indy championship and the TNA World Championship is not even on the level of the WCW Championship.

The NWA World Title is the only real pro wrestling World Championship.

Fans often think Ric Flair was the last NWA World Champ. He wasn't. Flair was just the last NWA World Champ on national TV. When WCW withdrew from the NWA and created their own "world championship" they returned the NWA World Title to the NWA, who then held a tournament to crown a new NWA World Champ. Years later, the NWA loaned the NWA World Title to TNA. When TNA withdrew from the NWA to create their own separate federation (as WCW had done), they too returned the NWA World Title to the NWA, who once again held a tournament to crown a new NWA World Champ.

The WWE's "world titles" are company championships defended only within the confines of the WWE. TNA's "world title" is the same, defended only within the confines of TNA.

The NWA World Championship, from day one, was actually defended all over the world in various promotions. The NWA World Championship is still defended all over the world in various promotions. It is not now, nor has it ever been, a company championship defended only within the confines of a single promotion. The WWE and TNA chose to remove themselves from the NWA to establish their own "world titles" to be defended only within the confines of their particular promotions.

The WWE and TNA "world titles" are company championships. The NWA World Title is still defended all over the world in various promotions. It is the closest thing to a real World Pro Wrestling World Title there has ever been, and is today.

The only real answer is the NWA World Championship.

According to the WWE DVD, The History Of The World Heavyweight Championship, WWE traces their version of the World Heavyweight Championship through WCW to the NWA.

TNA started off as a NWA promotion, just like WCW, and like WCW, they used the NWA World Heavyweight Championship as their top singles championship, before creating their own set of championships.

I don't think there necessarily is a world title that would be Pro Wrestling's entire world title.

The only way that would completely work is if the WWE and every single wrestling promotion in the world just formed together and made one huge super promotion and that would be Pro Wrestling's World title but, until then, there really isn't a main one

Quelle(n): Really interesting question though. I would agree with yours since when you've made it in the WWE and become a world champion, you've pretty much made it huge

    No such thing.

There is no single title out there that will define your entire career.

Example: Should Sting be completely ignored because he never won the WWE championship?

Screw that. The real wrestling fans know their true accomplishments. Belt be damned.
