I think it will be a great game and both the Michigan fans as well as the team will be stoked for it. They would love to put paid to the great Alabama mystique and start their season off with a bang.
Alabama is clearly a better team but the Wolverines aren't just gonna roll over just because the mighty Crimson Tide shows up.
I think Michigan stays competitive for the first half till midway through the third when Alabama starts to run all over them and Michigan simply tires out.
It will be a game Michigan defense that actually keeps them in the game for the most part but Alabama wins 34 - 21.

Alabama 24-20. Alabama is rebuilding their defense, specifically in the defensive backfield, so they will have some growing pains early on. But if Denard Robinson can play error free, I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan pulled the upset. They return a lot of players from last year and Brady Hoke is a very good coach.

I choose Alabama because Michigan doesn't have the strength and tremendous speed Alabama has, this is coming from a LSU fan, sadly.

I predict that I will be totally bored with this matchup between eastern teams that I have no interest in, and will have changed the channel by the end of the first quarter.
