You can't take a couple of days to go visit with the mother of one of your parents?

Aww that's mean, you should visit her! Anyway if you really don't want to say one of these :

- You have volunteering/a new job to do

- You're going on a small holiday with friends

- You haven't got any money at the moment to visit her (that's if she lives far away!)

- You've had a hard few months and need to take some time off

- You're very poorly and don't want her to catch your illness

- You're expected to receive an important hospital appointment/job opportunity on letter and need to be at home for this

You can always add that you will try your very best to see her soon if wished!

Good heaven, what's the big deal, either say no or bite the bullet. You know though if you put yourself in her place, why does she want you to visit? If you don't know or don't get it, then just lie to her or tell her you just want to feel a bit of freedom before making the big change. But tell her you'll visit another time, and mean it.

What you can do is visit your grandmother! While she still has time on this earth. She loves you and wants to see you.

Imagine how guilty you would feel if something happened to her a week from now and you were avoiding her because shes old and not as fun as your friends.

Tell her that you're going to make her proud by getting a job to work until university and actually do it, after a while, give her a nice gift with the money you've made.

Well if you have nothing to do, go and see your grandma and see if you can do anything for her.

That would make her proud of you.
