How to get followers on Tumblr?

Question

I've had tumblr for like a week now... I really like it and in my opinion the stuff I post is good, but it's kind of annoying if you're only posting for yourself without any followers.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get followers, or does anyone want to follow me, and I'll follow you back? (:

You have to post your t­­­it­s occasionally. And eventually, other body parts. You'll get more followers that way.

Well a good way is to follow back until you're happy with the amount of followers you have. I did that on my funny one until I reached about 400 now I only follow back certain blogs. You can also use tumblrplug.com to promote your blog. If you want I can follow you on my personal hummingbird-trouble.tumblr.com.

Follow a lot of people (some will follow back)
Have a certain type of blog (like summer, hipster, personal, etc.)
Reblog a lot
Participate in promo games
Be paitent. (It will take a while to have a good amount of followers)
