What is Goal Difference.. ?
Okay so this might be a stupid question, but what is goal difference ? Its talked about a lot in the Uefa Euro 2012 and I feel stupid whenever people say ”oh it depends on gd for this and that and blah blah blah” so can someone explain it like really well to me ? Oh and which teams do you want to qualify for Group C ?(: I want Croatia and Spain

The total number of goals scored minus the total number of goals conceded.
For example I will show the goal difference of Germany,
Germany total goals
v POR 1
v HOL 2
v DEN 2
Total 5 goals scored
Total goals conceded
v POR 0
v HOL 1
v DEN 1
Total 2 goals conceded
So 5-2 = 3
The Germany's Goal difference is +3...
seems like maths lesson lol,

It means the difference in the score. For example, say a game had a score of 4-2.. the goal differential is 2 (because 4 minus 2 = 2). If another game had a score of 3-0... the goal differential would be 3.
This is often used in tie-breakers (when team records are the same with regards to wins and losses). If you have a higher goal differential you win. This tie-breaker is not always used and the rules for when it is used differ between different leagues and tournaments.

You lot are all incorrect! It has no longer something to do with one activity performed much less. Its an extremely basic answer. In an adventure of purpose distinction being point on factors positions are desperate through "targets scored". Arsenal have scored greater targets (22) than United (19). that's why Arsenal are on precise!
