Would you use video chat like Skype before meeting in person someone you met online?

 I met a guy online and I've been thinking if I should meet him first by using Skype or if I should just go see him in person; he lives like an hour away so a face-to-face meeting is not complicated to arrange. However, I'm still confused about what would be better, what would you do?

Skype has its advantages. You can see the area behind him, probably his room. Well, down side is he will see yours. But it is definitely safer. And easier to turn him down if you feel you are not attracted to him. On top of it, you don't have to spend a penny on gas or a coffee. There are also disadvantages to use Skype. Video doesn't give you eye contact. And it could be hard to get a sence of someone's personalities or physical appearance.

I'm 13 and i did its hard but we ended it after a few months...hes really nice though.:))))
