Why did he stop texting?

Well, i met this really amazing guy. After our first date he told me how amazing i was...that he really liked me...he wouldn't stop texting me. Literally spoiled me with cute messages. He said he couldnt wait for our second date. Never did i feel like someone was so into me.....our second date was amazing. A guy never looked at me like he does. Holds me like hed protect me from the world if he could.... he dropped me off at home...even looked back when he drove off. That night he stopped texting. Called me the next morning to explain why...it was a very valid reason why......but....i haven't heard from him since........why am i so paranoid....
