I know what majors they offer, but I don't know what major they're BEST at. Also, what type of degrees do they offer, like BS, BA?

The term "university" means universal- that they offer majors in a wide variety of areas, and graduate degrees. You can easily look at their website to see the degrees. Look at the different academic departments, and the list of faculty. They should have their vitas online, and you can see which departments have faculty who are actively publishing in journals. Those are the best departments to study in because the faculty are up to date in their fields.
