Statistics for psych- repeated mesures ANOVA- HELP!!?

I have a project due in which we used SPSS to run a repeated measures ANOVA. It was a single factor experimental design with three levels. The data collected was about visual cues (both eyes open, one open, both closed -> three levels) and how they affect balance (measured in time spent on a balancing board). Now I have to report the results and I'm stuck. Do I need to report the mean or is the median a better option? How do I report the standard deviation (WHAT is it, really? or what does it say about the data?) I looked at the within-subjects effects on my SPSS output which show that there is no significant effect of visual status on balance (p=.154). Could that be correct?? It seemed like there was quite an effect when we did the experiment! Also, for this type of ANOVA, do I report only within-subjects effects, or also between-subjects effects? The p-value for between-subjects effects is .018. HELP! I'm lost!!

I do not know what you were asked to report in your project. Because your experiment was:

H0: Time spent on a balancing board among the three levels (both eyes open, one open, both closed ) are the same

Ha : They are not all the same

Your p-value is .018, so at 5% level of significance, there seems to be a difference among the three means since .018 < .05.

With respect to within-subjects, there is no statistical significance (it is likely p=0.158)

You report both the within and between effects, but between is more important.

My suggestion is just report the mean and standard deviations without any comment as we are only concerned about the final conclusion.

The link may provide additional information and clarification even though it is a different experiment.
