Are audio cards interchangeable on desktop computers?

I have an old hp windows xp computer that messed up and i was wandering if i could put that audio card in my windows 7 computer

The biggest reason i am asking is because the xp computer stopped working because i was messing around with the inside of it then i plugged it back in and turned it on and got a blue screen that told me my computer wasnt fully acpi compliant and now it wont even go past the part where it finds the boot info on the harddrive. I need help with both those problems

Update:

When i was messing around inside i added another harddrive, pulled out the ram sticks and looked at them, and changed the video card. Then after the first blue screen came up i switched the power supply box and it worked again but i started messing with the ram again and it stopped working again and the 3rd time i switched power supplies it started to boot up got to the part that said something like found hard drive and above it was all the information on the computer like ram amount and computer speed, it didnt say anything else but just stopped moving.

It used to start up and crash a lot so i need to know how to fix that too.

I hate to say it but you will have to tell me what the bios splash screen is and what the post test is

To answer your 1st question, audio cards can usually be moved to another computer provided that device drivers are available for the new OS & there's an available slot. That said, I've had issues trying to get a high-end audio card purchased for an XP system working on a new Windows 7 system, even though the system recognized it & drivers were available (audio input worked intermittently).

You haven't provided enough info for me to help you w/the 2nd part of your question (things like: what did you do when you were messing around inside of it, does the system pass the POST test, do you see the BIOS splash screen, does Windows start to boot & crash, etc.).

Possible, but not likely... You might need to adapt the computer pics chip (considering the fact that it's a small chip no longer a card) to your laptop's motherboard. Thats means you may must to find or construct an adapter for the energy. The computing device graphics chip makes use of far much less energy than a computing device card. Additionally, you could possibly must build an interface between the pics chip and the cpu, memory and other hardware. You would attempt to connect it to a PCI board by some means, along with a bunch of different stuff, however then you possibly can need to write your possess custom drivers for it. In short, unless your an extraordinarily bored and wickedly proficient electrical engineer with cash to burn, i would say simply go purchase one.
