Do you feel loved? Is to love as important as to be loved?
Why do we we have this intense need for love? What kind of love will finally satiate us? When we have all why do we still need love? How much love enough? Does it last?

I do feel loved thank you. It is important to love. I do not think you can be loved if you don't love. People may love you but you can't BE loved. The only love that will truly last and is unconditional is the love of God. And we all need that love. We have a place inside us that only the love of God can fill and we do not feel whole without it.

Hi Amit,
Yes its very important to feel loved because that would give u an urge to live and find out more, if you are not loved there is no difference between a stone and an unloved person as both are aimless, there is no limit of how much love, and lasting depends on you, like for example i love my work i ll never let this go out then its with me.

we have an intense need of love because love is our basic nature, along with happiness and peace. whenever these are depleted in oneself, one feels the need to fill those things from outside. but the fact is no other person or object can fulfill this need and if at all, external factors do so just temporarily. the love that can satiate a soul is the one for self. when we become unhappy thinking no one loves me, we are in fact hurting ourselves, and not really loving ourselves.. would you hurt someone you love? no.. but we keep hurting ourselves all those time when we think, no one loves me, they don't care for me anymore, i'm afraid to lose them, they love someone else etc.. at such times forget about the others but we ourselves don't love our own soul.. but when we start loving our soul and create the thoughts of happiness and peace in the mind, we are filled with love.. so much love that we don't need it from other people but we can in turn give it to them selflessly...

We're social creatures. We need to feel that we are a part of a group, or family unit and that others care about our well being. It's a safety and security thing that promotes evolutionary development in our species.

It depends on many things. Whether you're confusing love with an ego boost, which comes and goes depending.. Love is basically empathy. Love is the first thing we learn (hopefully) and (ideally) it comes from parents. It's necessary for all stages of human reproduction from the making to bringing up the child. Love has been shown to "grow" the brain, increasing activity in the prefrontal cortex, which controls decision making, also known as the "conscience." People who haven't had love as children grow up to be selfish adults, still feeling like they're the centre of the universe because their basic need hasn't been fulfilled.
Summary to answer: I think real love does last, and it is unconditional - it's not based on personal need of any sort, and doesn't come and go depending on how "worthy" or "good" we are. Anything that isn't this or doesn't last - isn't true. There's no measure of how much love is enough. And it's not that we need "more" love, just that we like being in that feeling because it feels nice.

One does not control 'being loved'; but one does decide/control how much love one gives and to whom!
