My daughters turtle is injured. What Can I do to help?
One of my daughters red eared sliders began biting the fold of skin on the back of the other turtles neck. It has since scabbed over & peeled off leaving a hole exposing the muscle underneath. The turtle still eats & acts normally now that it has been separated from the aggressive turtle. Is there anything I can do to help her neck heal?
The local vets don't really handle reptiles.

animals can use SOME of the medicine we give them. in this case it is best for you to rub on a small amount of neosporin or some rub on cream that helps cuts. run some hot water over it be for you put some med on it to help clean it out. just wait 3 days to see how it looks if it looks the same or has gotten worse there is really not much you can do. but it should produce new skin cells and form tissue within a week. good luck and i hope this helps

Nothing really, but you should call around to find a vet,
but this does sound painful, but because turtles can't express pain, they do feel a lot of pain, they can feel pain much better then we do. unless there is a hole in the neck where you can see the food passing by, then the turtle should be alright. but saying you can see the muscle underneath, makes it sound like it is something serious.
