Are you suppose to paid an acting agency if "they" want to work with you.?
I am getting into acting and this one agency in atlanta,ga wants to pick me up but they are asking that I pay for half of my headshots to be done. But they will pay for my acting classes and send me on MANY casting calls.
Should I kept looking???

If you don't have good headshots, they have every right to ask you to get new ones, but if they're suggesting a specific one, it could be a scam. Several do this, because they have a deal with a photographer.
What really worries me is that they say you need classes - genuine agents will only accept actors who have already had many years of training at good classes and also loads of good stage experience. Think about it - why are they saying this? If you haven't already been trained, how would they be able to earn any money from you?
Sure, they say they'll send you on many casting calls - but no agent can guarantee that. All they can do is tell you about any roles coming up for audition which are suitable for you. If none get sent to them, they couldn't send you on any. Also, all they can do is tell you what casting breakdowns they've had - after that, it's entirely up to you to apply for the audition, and entirely up to the casting director whether or not they wanted to audition you.
And to be honest, if they looked at your resume and saw less than a few years training and little experience, they wouldn't be interested.
Please be very careful - this sounds very dubious.

Actors always pay for their own headshots but you should be able to use the photographer of your choice. If you are forced to use a specific photographer/studio then this is not legit. And as mentioned above any legitimate agency will not even look at you if you have not taken any acting classes
Did you verify this agency is on the SAG and/or AFTRA website?

If they aren't then I wouldn't bother as there is no way they could get you many casting calls if they are not SAG and/or AFTRA. Many major casting directors will only work with SAG/AFTRA franchised agencies

You should be paying for your own headshots, and it's reasonable for an agent to ask you to get new ones if the ones you have aren't serving you. They can suggest places for you to get them done, even, but if they're pushing you to go with a specific person or service rather than giving a host of options, be wary. You should never pay an agent or agency up front for their services; they get paid a previously agreed upon percentage when YOU get paid work.

That's fine but they should let you choose where to go.Otherwise you shouldn't pay them they get about 10% of the pay you get off movies. And u nedd headshots to get into the acting world beleive me
