If/When Jack Wilshere returns to Arsenal, will Thomas Rosicky move outside?

Gervinho has been less than impressive since returning from ACN (and before than really) and as good as the Ox has been, I'm not sure he is ready to be the full time winger. Could Rosicky be that guy, with Song, Wilshere, and Arteta in the center and Walcott on the right?

I think he's a lot better in the middle of the park than in wide positions.

He doesn't really have the pace to get past players, but his creativity and vision is a real asset to his game and maybe that's better used centrally. Sure he can do the job on the wing if need be, but I don't think he's a long term option there for Arsenal.

I think Gervinho needs game time to prove himself. Like you said, after ACN he came back in dismal form. If he can be incorporated into the Arsenal line up again this season, then that would be their best bet in getting him into form for next season. They can't just throw him out because he does have talent. Not saying start him every game, but with some of the easier games, it won't hurt to give him a fair few minutes.. maybe interchange him with Ox here and there so both get game time.

Out of the remaining 6 games in the season, I doubt that Wilshere will play a strong role. I think he'll be due back and begin with the odd substitute appearance before maybe making one or two full appearances if he's lucky. Generally though, with the form Rosicky and Arteta are in, I doubt Wenger will rush anything. But for those games, I think Ox and Gervinho should get their run around in 5 of those fixtures against weaker oppositions. There is that one Chelsea fixture though that would probably benefit with starting Rosicky on the wing due to his experience and ability (given that Benayoun probably won't be able to play given the loan deal).

Come next season though, I think Arsenal will have a plethora of top options on the wing. There will be Walcott, Ox and Gervinho obviously. But then apparently Wenger is interested in Podolski who will no doubt be deployed in a wide left attacking position.. not to mention the option of Miyachi if he isn't sent on another loan deal (he has impressed a lot at Bolton and I wouldn't count next season out from being his breakthrough year). So in the long term, Rosicky will most likely remain a central figure.

Probably, one thing is for sure it gives Arsenal options, and I'm not talking about the effeminate hot chocolate brand.

It would be a shame to shunt Rosicky out wide as he's been very effective through the middle, Wilshere can play out wide though but I would expect with Wilshere fit the preferred midfield three would be Song, Arteta and Wilshere. At the start of the season it was supposed to be Song, Wilshere, Ramsey but Ramsey has been awful.

Arsenal will be competing for 4 trophies next season, rotation is required. Also, judging by our luck on injuries in previous years, we will be lucky to have 3 CM's fit. Also Diaby is going to return, this is a massive boost.

OAC seems very mature for his age. If he's good enough, he's old enough.
