Presidential Ballot: Write in vote? (READ NOTE FIRST)?
NOTE/READ FIRST: I do not want this to be a political debate about the merits of each candidate, nor do I want a bunch of answers telling me I am wasting my vote (I may very well be but I'm a fan of doing what I believe in over making the conventional choice in spite of whether that renders my actions symbolic or otherwise wasted. Also any racist remarks against Obama (there's always a few) will be deleted and reported, I hate racism.
When voting for president this November would I be able to write in the name of a candidate that I would like to vote for? I am aware that in city and county elections this is possible (at least in my home state of Oregon) but would this still be an option on the national level? I don't know if it's worth voting for Obama and I'm NOT voting for Romney so would I be able to simply write in a more desirable candidate?

To successfully write in a presidential candidate, you must first find out which write-in candidates are running, then research your state's specific procedures for write-in voting.
