What does "Run this browser sandboxed" mean?
I am looking through my Avast A.V. setting and under browser settings it show me my two installed browsers, which are I.E.9 and Firefox. Under each browser it gives me the option to "Run this browser sandboxed" what does this mean and and what are pro's and con's? Thank for the Help.

Sandboxing is a technique used in computer security to completely separate your operating system processes from those run from within the web browser. It effectively means that your web browser and anything it is has its own isolated and controlled place in RAM and on your hard drive. It means that what ever you do with your web browser (unless there is some kind of 0 day exploit) cannot gain access to anything outside of what it has specifically been given access too.
Pro's - It means that you are pretty much isolated from any type of virus exploits that can be maliciously run through your web browser.
Con's - It takes up slightly more processing power, memory and hard drive space.
