HELP! Sony vaio laptop not turning on?

Question

Right I had it on, and then plugged my phone into the USB port and it just shut off! It won't turn back on. It won't show any light when I plug the charger in, it's not turning on! Does anyone knoone what the problem is, much appreciated for the help!

Unplugged your phone and remove the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord from your Sony Vaio laptop.

Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the laptop. This clears your RAM and is like a hardware reset. Replace the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord and turn your laptop on.

Take the battery out and power on your laptop Sony Vaio with the charger only.

---Make sure your laptop power jack and charger plug tip are securely connected. If power jack is loose you can find laptop power jack on ebay. However, fixing and soldering the power jack requires professional skill.

---Always, the green/blue LED on charger needs to be constantly on. If not, replace the defective charger. Did you have anything else other than the Phone in?

Is there any chance that you may have knocked or done anything to the harddrive to "loosen it". 

I have a similar problem as to if I plug in things into usb ports it shuts off yet it will turn back on.

Have you tried turning the laptop on without charger, I'm thinking it could be not enough power is going to the laptop so it just kind of, died.
