What do you think about people with tattoos?

It's 2012. Plenty of people have tattoos. You can't really stereotype anymore. I know college professors with visible tattoos.

discrimination against tattoos has gotten so out of hand now days you could be turned down from a job because you have a tattoo of your mom and dads name.tattoos are an artform a way for people to express what they believe in what they love and what means the most to them.ink on the body should not be judged for example some discrimination i can understand like if i saw someone with a schwa stick tattooed on them i would think automatically he hates jews but if he isnt hurting anyone and he is nice and minding his own business i would leave him alone.i think tattoos are great they are gorgeous i have 4 tattoos and im 18 half my family is covered in tats.the funny thing is people look at a biker as a scary troublemaking junkie while they see the clean cut business man as a good to go alter boy but the business man is actually a total asshole who wouldnt do a thing to help someone.and the biker is a loving man who donates to charity all the time and helps everyone he can now see how bad this world has become about correct and discriminators

Honestly, people with tattoos get judged and stereotyped all the time. I personally don't judge a person on if they have tattoos or not, but I know it happens. I think tattoos are appropriate if it means something to you that is special. If you are just getting a tattoo just so you can go around and brag about getting a tattoo, then I honestly think it is stupid and the person will probably regret it in their future. Its something that you are engraving on your body. My husband has tattoos from when he was younger that he regrets because he was just getting them for the sake of getting them. Now he got one for our son and he loves it. When people ask him about his old ones he has nothing really to say except he just felt like getting it. The ones that mean something to him he can actually explain.

On another note, a lot of jobs today make you cover up your tattoos, and in this economy the guy who looks "cleaner" is probably going to get the job. It really just depends what career you choose. If you have a few tattoos its not that hard to cover up or just wear long sleeves, and some jobs don't even care, so it really just depends on your life and what you want/expect out of it. For the most part I don't think tattoos will make you or break you, but don't get them for no reason.
