80's TV show with puppets flying jets?

Question

I can't remember this show that I saw as a kid, it featured (pretty creepy) puppets who flew around in jets and maybe had boats/submarines... I can't remember the name of this show, nor can I remember anything about the plot... I mostly remembered being creeped out by their faces and how odd the puppetry was. My brother watched the show, I was very young and it wasn't on the air for much of my childhood but I distinctly remember it. Does anyone know what this show is?

The Thunderbirds were from the 1960s, though it was conceivable that you and your brother watched reruns of it.
