best way to travel from Cork to Belfast?

I want to go see Reba at the end of the month but don't want to stay in Belfast over night,I'd prefer to travel up that day and back that night!

Update:

ya I know how long it is.I wouldn't mind staying over night but if I'm travelling on my own would prefer not to!

You could get a bus or train to Dublin and then on from there by bus or train. Coming back you could get a Bus Eireann bus from Belfast to Dublin airport at 1am or 3am in Dublin at either 3.30am or 5.30am - first train to Cork is at 7am http://journeyplanner.irishrail.ie/bin/query.exe/e... First Bus Eireann bus to Cork is at 8am. First Aircoach bus from Dublin to Cork is at 7am http://www.aircoach.ie/table.routes.cork.php (leaves Dublin airport at 6.30am)

When returning from Belfast you could get off at Dublin Airport and wait there an hour and a bit (if you leave Belfast at 3am) before getting the Aircoach from Dublin airport to Cork at 6.30am. Safer to wait at the airport than in Dublin city. No overnite but a lot of travel within 24 hours.

How are like going to do that its like 5 hours each way? You'll have to get up at like 5 if you want to do that and you'll have to leave early get home in time. Just stay in travel-lodge or something its only like £30 per night. The journey is over 300 miles you do know that don't you? If i were you i'd leave the night before because 300 miles is quite a distance for this island, it'll get very boring.
