There are some STD's that you can get from sitting on a toilet. It is possible that you could get an STD from a toy, but it is unlikely. By the time you used it, the virus would probably already be dead. (That is if it is a virus and not anything like bacteria) Always be safe and sanitize though. Heat sterilizes and so does alcohol.

Yes I would think you could but I have no clue why you would be buying or using a used sex toy. That is just nasty.

Viruses don't live for very long outside the body, so you're probably safe. But just be cautious, maybe wash it or clean it with rubbing alcohol. And if I were you, I would send it back... but that's just me!

Throw the parts into a pan and boil them - if you don't think that would hurt the plastic. Or put it in the microwave for a minute or so. But I think any STD can't live for very long on a piece of plastic.
