Should everyone pay the same percentage of federal income tax?

Also, should all deductions, loopholes etc. be eliminated? That would include the earned income tax credit.

No, but the very rich should pay at least the same percentage I do.

    Yes eliminate the brackets.

    Do not eliminate deductions.

Everyone same percent before deductions, including capital gains. I dont like hearing the wealthy ***** about paying taces twice for capital gains thats a load of crap. Capital gains are income plain and simple. Its not their money to befin with, only the initial investment is. Of course we shouldnt tax a withdrawl on savings or investments, but we absolutely should tax the interest earned. If im ever a millionaire i will still agree.

Between state, federal, and self employement taxes i will pay 25% of my earnings. Just those three items equate to 25% of my earnings! I make less than $50,000 pet year. Thats ludicrous. Im a single male none the less, no dependants, no house, and rarely enough itemized deductions to put even a scratch in my tax liability. Id feel better if wealthy individuals had to pay the same, and those earning less as well.

I think we should have a flat tax or at least not have brackets and use an equation resembling a cube root curve. We need to get rid of loop holes and deductions other than ones for business and charity.
