Need toning opinion!?
I'm entering a teen art contest at a local library and I need an opinion. I'm almost done with my piece and I need help with the background. There will be more details added to the background later maybe. But anyways I need to know if I should darken the background tone. I want the hand and flower emphasized. Im in a high art class. And I think you should make the background a little darker but not to dark and add a little bit darker details to the hand and rose. It looks great already just add some more range of values; darks and lights. To make it really pop and stand out it also helps to set it up against something and look at it from a distant to see if it stands out to you.
