Can you gift or trade a game that is already in your steam library?

I haven't ever played it, but it's in my library and not my inventory. Is there a way to move it into my inventory, or is it once you buy it, you're stuck with it?

    When you purchase the game, you are given the choice between yourself or gifting it.

    As far as I know there is no way to change this.
