How to spell pulsinanimous?
This is an abusive term for not really saying what one thinks. The "animous" ending clearly indicates a state of mind, but I have only heard the whole word, never seen it written and cannot find it in my dictionaries in any imaginable spelling. My spell checker is no help.

^^This word looks relatively close. Not saying what one thinks could be because of lacking courage (which is the definition of the word above). Not sure if it's exactly the one you're looking for. There's an audio button on the website that says the words out loud. Maybe hearing it will confirm whether this is the right word or not?

It used to be used a lot in the southern United States, especially in expressions like "pusillanimous coward" and "pusillanimous polecat [skunk]." As a child I thought it sounded like a word Mark Twain would be comfortable with.
