You sound like you have no Idea what you are talking about. Democrates support public sector unions, nationalized healthcare, welfare, and socialism. That is pretty left. I would consider Democrates Left, Republicans center-right, Communist party left wing tip, and Libertarians right wing tip.

The Democratic Party and the Republican Party are like Ford and Chevy. A driver could drive either one to a wonderful place, or a driver could drive either one off the edge of a cliff.

Why do people get confused when it is patently obvious? We live in a representive republic. Start with "I pledge allegence to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Democracy is mob rule and that is why electoral college is in place.

There is a Socialist party out there if you feel that way. Most people know it exists as it has been around some 150 years. Heck there is even a Communist party. Nobody is stopping you and all your oppressed comrades from voting for one of those. It's just that they don't get votes because nobody agrees with them. Yes, I call that choice when I am not forced to vote left when I do not want to.
