Why do liberals and conservatives hate each other so much when there is almost no difference between them?
How is Obama any different than Bush, apart from the rhetoric?

I agree with you. They both do the same stupid crap and then blame it on the other side when it fails.
Obama is NO different from Bush. The only reason I didn't vote for McCain was because I knew it would be another 4 years of Bush. Thus, Obama. I just didn't realize it would still be another 4 years of Bush.

The real difference is that what Bush was doing out of ignorance, Obama is doing on purpose and at 5 times the speed. Both have been terrible for America.

You obviously don't get it, because you think Bush was a conservative. There are lots of differences. Conservatives believe in smaller government, a strong defense (including stronger border protection), the protection of every life, because one of our core beliefs is the right to LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We believe in conserving the environment while still allowing the full use of land by the owners. No land owner should be forced to lose money and the use of their land over a packrat, minnow, or frog, but we can and should reward landowners who decide to work with conservationists to help those species of their own accord. We believe in growing the economy, and the only way to do that is to drill and mine for energy resources here. Plus it will make us safer.

When the American people go to movies, they are volunteerly subjecting themselves to have the director of the film being viewed toy with their emotions. Films can make us feel a range of emotions, depending upon the skill of the actors and the director.
It is naive for the American people to deny that the experts of the political field would not choose to employ the very same tried and true tactics.
The government has real purpose in the funding of sociological and mass psychology studies of the population.

The top 1% that controls everything..AKA the illuminati..foster this ideological war, because
#1 while Americans are fighting each other, no one notices the rich running off with all the money
#2 a deeply divided population is much easier to control than a united one
this is ALL BY DESIGN
***but you are 100% correct.. Obama's words may be different than Bush, but his policies are identical

I see where you are coming from. It's Bush spending like drunk sailor, war, letting the insurance companies off the hook for prescriptions.
BUT a bigger difference in Obama. He is spending out of control. He blames everyone for his problems. One factor factor is the R2P they came up with the United Nations, this totally circumvents
everything in invading a country. He tried it on honduras when puppet dictator was run out by people and military, up till that time chavez's plan had been going right along. Then it was used on libya. As we now know the intel they used was dubious ast best as even our own State department stated Libya has not human rights violations, yet Syria, notorious for killing her own people has killed thousands and only thing obama did was say they 'were on the wrong side of history".

Obama and friends state Republicans blocked anything he tried to do but not so. They passed the obamacare using a parliamentary technique rarely used. They did the stimulus bill which was a hoot as he and Pelosi whined about it and how it was needed. The fact is only 10% of the 100 plus billion earmarked for fixing the infrastructure and creating the 400,000 'shovel ready" jobs was ever used for that purpose and thus a ripoff. Pelosi said pass it and don't even read it or half a billion Americans would lose heir jobs. lOL
If you notice the latest jobs bill for over 400 billion was a joke and it wasn't the Republicans that stopped it, it was the Democrats.
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/oct/12/obama-...
It is said that the Democrats voted against it as they were coming up for re election and "had to", but let's look at that. The senators that voted against it were elected as Democrats and they should follow party lines, I mean where they not elected as democrats? So Sen. Reid knew they would do it and probably told them to do it. See the lobbyists pay the House and Senate members $3.5 billion a year in donations. Matter of fact even though Obama said he would stop the evil lobbyists in one of his trademark bs campaign promises they to are on steroids. He has done nothing as he also is accepting tons of cash from them and the rich. It's like taxing the rich that bs as he could do that. Even when he had complete control of the House and Senate he only did the money deals and didn't even help the poor single sex marriage people. That is why it's a hoot when he roams around the country burning up fuel and dropping off his Canadian made buses to drive a few miles.
Like this last job bill deal it's all the Republicans fault but it's not. I wonder with ACORN hiding under a new name if the Democrats going for re election think they will now need the independents and fence sitting Republicans to get back in.
Since the lobbyists control things it makes sense that the Senate shot down his new bill and replaced it with their own as the lobbyists knew you cannot sell product if people don't have a job. The senate version is only about $50 billion and creates 600,000 more jobs. It's like they and the lobbyists have had enough of Obama. They have approved different parts of the bill and modified them and finding the condensed version is like finding a needle in a hay stack.
Ironic if the Democrats had stuck to their guns when Bush wanted to invade Iraq it never would have happened, but as President Ike said "beware of the industrial military complex.
It's interesting to see just how much these guys take in from the lobbyists like between McCain and Kerry it's almost a billion and Hillary set a record for her short term as senator bringing in a whopping $328 million, which she took with her when she left office. the $3.5 billion is a ton of cash and influence and many are afraid of losing the gravy train. The below site has links to everyone and you can see who pays them, how much and HOW THEY VOTE .

By the way Ron Paul doesn't meet with lobbyists!
You can now understand why Kerry, Reid and Biden called the Tea Party terrorist and McCain called them hobbits, obviously he got mixed up as the hobbits saved the day. See not only do lobbyists pay our great Congress they also employ their families in Sen. Reid's case and also their family can start their own lobby firm, like joe Biden's son.
not sure if Bush blamed Clinton for the housing crash, but Ron Paul warned of it in 2002. You minght want to look at the "wiki" on Jamie Gorelick as she was involved with that and also setting up 911, both things Bush was blamed for.
Have a great 2011!

With all due respect, you must be very young or very stupid to see no difference
between Bush and the closet-socialist maggot in the White House.
Listen child, read Deconstructing Obama by Jack Cashill, Ph.D. in American Studies,
and the next time you post a political question you might not embarrass yourself so much.

Because they are partisan drones. Look at the dynamics between liberals and conservatives vs. the dynamics of Alabama fans vs. Auburn fans. It's exactly the same.
These drones could care less what's good for the country, they just want to see their "team" win for bragging rights.

And yet, things were much better for Bush's first six years, than they were after the Democrats won the 2006 election.
Things have been nothing but downhill from there.
Of course, a liberal like you remains blind and unable to see such things....

Bill Clinton "democrats at fault for Fannie & Freddie
The Glass-Steagall Act was repealed by the 1999 Gramm-Leach-Bliley banking deregulation act, which passed with overwhelming majorities of both parties in both houses of Congress, then it was eagerly signed into law by Bill Clinton. The 2008 meltdown was attributed directly to this law.
Arthur Levitt, Jr. was the longest serving head of the SEC. Do a Google search on him, see what pops up.
He was appointed by Clinton in 1993 and again in 1998. He left in 2001, so he covered the entire Clinton administration.
Levitt gave Madoff a free pass because they were both members of the Harmonie Club, a social club for the ultra wealthy in NYC.
Madoff was first reported to the SEC in 1992:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2009/sep/02/ber...
Report: Regulator was tipped off about Madoff fraud as early as 1992
"a suspicion of trouble at Madoff Investment Securities arose as early as 1992 when customers of Avellino & Bienes, a fund that invested all its money with Madoff, complained about documents making a seemingly impossible promise of "100%" safe investments. Although the SEC shut down Avellino & Bienes, the agency only made a "brief and very limited" examination of Madoff."
Avellino & Bienes was shut down by the SEC in 1993, the year Levitt took charge.
Levitt also gave a special exemption to Enron, exempting it from accounting rules. This special exemption led directly to the Enron scam and the subsequent meltdown of the company, which took down a major chunk of the economy with it. It also led to the discovery of similar fraud at many other companies, fraud that got its start in the Clinton years.
If I was going to pick one individual who was most responsible for the rampant fraud of the Clinton years, it would have to be Art Levitt.
