What Can a Thoughtful Man Hope for Mankind on Earth, Given the Experience of the Past Million Years?

the continuation of the s l o w but constant improvement

1. at least slavery is only underground now

2. in most places you have to at least pretend to be tolerant of others as it's not publicly acceptable

3. a lot of places have abolished capital punishment (49% of countries abolished is, 17% have not used it in over 10 years)

4. many people are starting to understand we live in a flawed system (companies before people)

5. some people understand their opinion is just that

hope for baby steps given the past million years, tho we only has something to do with with earth half that time (going by that crazy Darwin theory)
