Issues get videos to work in joomla?

I have seen several tutorials on getting video's (youtube) to embed into joomla 1.5 but they dont work? when i post the code in html and hit update it doesnt load to the page. I cant get JW Video modual to find the right path either. i have triple checked paths and codes. i cant figure these out. help?
