Can anyone help me identify a small flying insect?
My garden and house have been invaded by thousands of small, flying insects like tiny beetles with brown, elongated bodies about 5mm long. I couldn't get a good picture as they move about too much. When you crush them you get a sweet sticky material on your fingers that smells faintly of cinnamon. I've looked on the web but the sites I tried didn't help much. Anyone any ideas as to what they might be?

Stinkbugs? They have been making mass appearances in houses this past week or two. But there are others it could be, too.
