100,000 didn't work, the three main parties are all forcing their MPs to vote against a referendum.
Maybe 500,000 will work, although I doubt Huhne and the other members of the Houses of Parliament (I 'm thinking Patton, Kinnock I & II, Mandelson et al ) bought and paid for by the EU, will give up their EU Pensions in the interests of the UK.
Perhaps a better move would be to vote UKIP.
Don't fall for this guff about Passeports and currency. Plenty of people travel the world outside the Euro Zone and the EU. They don't seem to be bothered, and it is sad state of affairs when you make a decision based on how you take your holiday to determine the economic future of your nation - even in jest.
As for the rubbish about trade, what is the EU going to do? Cease trading with the UK? That would hurt the EU more than the UK because the UK imports more from the EU than it exports. All those EU companies will withdraw from the UK! What, EDF gve up its money making in the electricity market? BAA will be sold by the Spanish, BMW will stop making the Mini, Siemens will not build the trains and carriages for cross rail? I tell you, the Americans, Russians, Indians and Chinese will be in like Flynn, and Bombardier would love to build for the cross rail deal that they were robbed of.
Further on trade, the UK would be able to negotiate bi-lateral deals with the emerging and growing economies - the EU wouldn't be able to veto these deals as they recently did with the UK-Taiwan Trade deal. Just think of the benefit to the UK economy when it is able to do deals with the booming economies of Canada, Brazil, China, Russia, India etc without the EU blocking them.
Anyone for UKIP?

That would be a complete waste of time - considering our governments/politicians gave-up worrying about what the majority of our peoples want......long ago.!!
All your comments ring true - but sadly it will never ever happen - the LisbonTreaty put paid to that - the UK now just another satellite country within this 'defunct/failed/bankrupt' communistic EU system all at 'our' taxpayers expense.
We the UK peoples have been 'ripped-off' as soon as our politicians 'changed' the rules from simply trading with the EU (the then EEC 1974) too total ownership by the EU of our country.!!
It would take more than lobbying to change our moronic politicians EU point of view - it would need action of the type 'we're not allowed to put into print anymore'.....know what I mean? - and sadly thats not going to happen - the peoples don't have the stomach for that route.!!

While it may sound like the right thing to do we would suffer even more in the long run by paying more for everything we buy and by not being able to sell our goods within the common market .
There is no two ways about it we have been blackmailed in our dealings with Europe for years and it has cost us a great deal of money with regulations that we are forced to obey yet many others are not the trouble is Europe is our major trading partners and without them it would hurt our economy.

Whatever imaginary benefits people claim that we receive for our £14 million a day, I will gladly sacrifice them to be masters of our own destiny and not be ruled by Germany, France, and the rest of the EU Parliament. They have still not had their accounts signed off, how long would you leave your money in a bank like that?
