Who misplaced the Burden of Proof on Mermaidists?
Should not those who assert the universal negative "There are no Mermaids" be required to prove their point, rather than requiring Mermaidists to provide a single example of a Mermaid to disprove the aMermaidist position?

Are you implying that mermaids are not real?
You shall be condemned to be thrown into the ocean. If the mermaids save you then that will validate your position, if the mermaids let you drown - then it is because they recognise you as a dangerous heretic.
The Republican debate is more like the Sirens - they beguile you with enchanting words - and then drag you to your doom.
My apologies if I have insulted any Sirens with the comparison.
