weekend, and would like to know if there is anything that will cause congestion of changes in train service.

Also: it is my  first time in Paris. Planning to see the Jardin des Plantes & Natural History Museum. Notre Dame, probably some sculptures at the Louvre. Any suggestions for more?

Check the website of each place you plan to visit and buy the entrance tickets online in advance, you'll save lots of time queueing.

The first Sunday of each month, the entrance to museums is free of charge. Try to go at the opening time, it should be less crowded.
