What did I do to my leg?

In a soccer game earlier today I got kicked in the upper thigh. I was kicked with the bottom of a cleat. I tried icing the giant bruise the kick left which helped a little but it's still swollen. The thing I'm confused about is that it feels like a bruise and it hurts on the inside of my leg. When I straighten it it aches badly. I can walk but I still limp a little. So what I want to know is what did I do to my leg and what I can do to get it better fast with out reinjurong it. Keep in mind I have 2 hour and a half practices tomorrow and a game on Saturday so I need good reliable answers fast!

    Ice 10 minutes, take off for 30, then ice for 10 again. repeat. You probably just have a large bruise.

    Its probably just some connective tissues that are damaged, the only thing you can do is let it rest, you can't rush your body in healing. You probably shouldn't go to the practice, but if you want to you might be able to, depending if your letting your leg rest enough in these few days.
