RUGBY: who is the best All Blacks player?

The most important and influential is certainly Richie McCaw. It's very hard to compare players across positions, of course: what does it really mean to compare a hooker to a second 5/8? Dan Carter is a superb 1st 5/8, arguably the best of his generation. But the Blacks can win, and even convincingly, when he's off. When McCaw doesn't play, the All Blacks are pretty hard to distinguish from the next tier of international sides. IMO, of course.

Mils and Ritchie are close to 100 tests and have rarely walked into the sheds with the score line against them. Ritchie has 3 IRB player of the year awards and DC is still smashing and extending kicking records, has a huge skill set, genuine pace and vision unparalled.

Zac Guilford has set the world alight with acolades from IRB for age group stuff and will no doubt have a record or two of his own if he can one day chalk up 100 tests, Good mix of experience and young playes with bags of potential, Whitelock is huge and still just a baby, Dagg has an x factor and natural ability seen in 1 in 1000 players but for me, I would be pretty confident mixing it up with any Allblack except for one; Mr Brad Thorn, mans a legend.

Sonny bill in my opinion, hes just fantastic to watch.

Most people will say Richie Mchaw and he is extremely infulencial to the all blacks when they play well, but personally I dont like the way he plays. He is extremly contervisial at the breakdown and for whatever has an incredible nack of rarely getting penalised for it!

i dont really pay attention to abilities bt the ABs smashing another team . but dan carter is a good kicker(need practice though) personally sonny bill ( <3 ) lol he's awesome .
