People make their own choices you cant force them to do anything. Im in a similar situation. If she was "emotionally" starved then he might have been too. however he remained faithful she did not. I also tried to blame myself as its bad enough your partner cheats but personally its the lying and deceiving that hurts more. If you believe its your fault you believe you can fix it by trying harder yourself.

Having had a cheating wife I don't really buy that crap at all. She cheats because she's a cheat. Best thing he can do is lose her. I'd recommend he slap her around a little in the process, but men get thrown in jail for stuff like that.
