What do I do about my pigeon?

I rescued a young pigeon over a month ago. How do I prepare him for release? I'm afraid that if I keep him much longer he will not learn survival skills.

just release it from top of your home it will manage it self it has capabilities

You can't prepare it. You have to go and show it how to find worms and build a nest which you don't know how to. Just keep it as a pet.
