On my visit to the two Haramian this year...Why doesn't the government put a fine?

Me & my family often go for Umrah but this Ramadhaan I was shocked the way the hujjaj and locals threw trash all over the Harmain after Iftaar . The place just look like a mess, this is due to the cleaners (they have al the time cleaning up) so none bothers cleaning nor throwing any dirt despite knowing the fact that these are holy places and cleanliness is out of Emaan. I wish the government puts a fine on whom ever throws anything in the premises of these two cities or spend a nite in jail.

I was really saddened /put off. I wish the higher authorities will do something serious just to teach these people a lesson.

It is to be expected when millions of people from different background come to the same place. In some ways, I think of it as a test for me too, am I going to be one of them (which I should admit a couple time, I did that) or am I going to take all my trash with me and keep the place clean.

I can't blame the cleaners because they're working very hard. I also can't blame the government that much because I know they're overwhelmed by the numbers of pilgrims. How can you put all of those people in jail, I don't know if they have enough space. It should start from person to person, I think. If you show people that you take your trash with you, maybe inshaa-Allaah some of them would follow your example. Isn't that the best, teaching by example ...

By the way, you should go on Hajj and see how it would be in Mina and Arafah and other places you would visit. Subhaan Allaah ... may Allaah give all the pilgrims patience and strength.

I agree with you.  

I was really shocked when I first moved to Saudi Arabia at all the garbage in the streets and along the highways.  Plastic bags lining fences....It's sad to see.  And, the beach in Khobar was so disgusting with trash and people throwing their leftover food out on the beach and in the water.  sooooo nasty.  :(

i myself witnessed a bus full of philipino tourist come out on the beach in jeddah and i saw one of the woman pissing in the beach WTF
