Poll for women: how do you deal with spidrs in your home?

Depends, Sometimes I smash them, sometimes I leave them alone.

I smashed a little one on my wall near my comp two months ago and its still stuck there, but it looks so cute I don't have the heart to throw it out, he keeps me company. ♥

If its a big spider, and im on my own in a room, I run around the ******* room screaming, I have near 2 a panic attack,I feel like im about 2 pass out, and shake lol. I am terrified of them and i don't mind admitting it, sometimes i think one day one will give me a heart attack. I have once sat on a chair for 4 hours until my bf got home from work to get one as i didn't want it 2 hide, the thought of it in running around house would make me sick. I also check my bed Every night before i get in it.I did have 2 kill 1 last week it was massive it was in my sink i was home alone and had 2 go out so after doing the above i turned the tap on but it just stood up lol, so i turned both on and it started trying 2 swim and as the water was getting so high it was trying to get out so i had 2 turn the cold tap off and i left the hot tap on. Which i should have done in the First place. I left it running 4 ages. I have never seen one that big im traumatised lol

I feel pretty guilty afterwards, but as they give me the creeps, I hit them with a rolled up newspaper. I'm quite nervous in August cos this is the time of year they come a courting so you're more likely to see them running around.

Also they go into the bath looking for a drink but can't get out again. In that case I squish em down the plug hole and hope they don't climb out again. However this year I haven't killed any yet.

I let them live, I would only kill huge spiders (because I'm afraid of them), but there aren't any in my house but the fairly little ones.

Ignore if in a hard to reach location, but if it's in a high traffic area, I'll gently put it outside (using a piece of paper or if it's a hopping or fast running spider, I'll catch it in a box or jar then put it outside).

I kill them. I'm sorry but I hate spiders with a passion so I don't want them crawling around in my house lol. I usually squish them, but sometimes I vacuum them up. I'm usually reluctant to vacuum them up though because my mom said my dad vacuumed one up once and when he emptied the bag months later it was still alive in there. :S

1. It was a black widow and it wasn't even in the house. It was on my pirogue. I don't kill spiders unless they are poisonous. I just take them outside.

I'm jealous of all the other women. :( Seriously, I scream and run. I can't even look at them straight. I ask any person to get rid of them for me even the neighbors. I would not be even able to walk where it was. Yep, I know I'm pathetic. But this is really something that I cannot deal with. :(

I killed one last week. It was on my ceiling so I put tape on it but it was so fast that it crawled out so I tried to capture it with a glass but it flew out of the glass but it was still on it so I put it in the sink and put boiling hot water over it because it would die everytime I hit it.

I killed maybe 3 spiders? I live in Canada. :)

I don't kill them... I put them outside, lol. We don't get too many spiders inside, though.
