When did people get souls?

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. - Genesis 2:7

Every living organism has a soul, even plants. Soul is nothing but pure energy which gives life to any anything non-living like our brain tissues.

For a human being, the soul enters the fetus inside a mother's womb after x no. of weeks into pregnancy. Now I can't remember exactly how much that 'x' is. Every internet source I can find shows different values. For e.g. in Buddhism, its 40 days from the day of conception.

People aren't given souls, they're given breath and BECOME souls.
