Where can I go online to find a house for sale or rent in Hannover Germany?
My husband might get a job here and I was just wondering where I can look for real estate online in this area? I have been searching and searching and have found no good website!!!! Ugh it's kind of frustrating and I want to start looking just in case.

is THE real estate site in Germany. But the site is in German only. Most German real estate agents and some private persons use it.
Real estate agents take 2 months rent as commission, you will have to give another 2 months rent to the landlord as deposit. Usually you do this in cash when signing the contract. You get back the deposit when you move out.
If you buy real estate you should add about 10% to the price of the house or apartment (fee for the agent, tax etc.).
The "normal" German way, besides searching the net, is a visit at a real estate agents office in the area where you want to buy. You tell him what you want and he will contact you if he gets something.
If you want to avoid commission you can check the local papers for offers "von privat" ("from private", meaning private persons) or you can advertise yourself.
