Casey Anthony is a woman who was accused of murder by the Fox TV. It is news because of the prejudice.
The only reason people are doubting the verdict is because the defense attorney is Latino and has the name of “Jose.” If it was a White attorney, nobody would doubt the verdict.
The prejudice against women is why she was put on trial. People have concluded she murdered her daughter based on her actions after the time when her daughter is supposed to have disappeared, which is also in doubt. No, she didn’t call the police. Yes, she went out with her friends and had a good time. Looks like an uncaring mother. Guilty, yes? Not necessarily. None of that is proof she murdered anyone. Except in the mind of those who believe the cultural myths that surround motherhood.
Her prosecutors admitted they did not know the cause of death, so they could not prove there was a murder. They inferred it by claiming the masking tape over the child’s mouth was a murder weapon, but they cannot prove the tape was placed there before death. There was no physical evidence proving Anthony killed her daughter: no DNA, no fingerprints, no proof she was in the lot where the body was found.
Amanda Knox was accused because she is a woman who is not ashamed of her own sexuality.

I believe they are both guilty. Amanda Knox showed sociopath behavior just like Casey, neither of them seem to have attachments to others and they showed no empathy for the victims. The incompetent jury , who were in a hurry to get out of court, set Casey free, one of them later saying that the jury was sick to their stomachs, because they knew Casey was guilty the whole time,...a little too late for that. There was more than enough evidence for them to find Casey guilty of first degree murder. Our justice system has been proven to fail at times,..this is no secret ,..it's a good justice system, but not without it's flaws. Casey will never be proven innocent in a court of law,..just because the jurors said not guilty,..by no means, means she was proven innocent. The medical examiner testified under oath, that this was nothing less than a clear cut homicide, but the jurors overlooked this evidence like all the rest.
EDIT - Anyone who can murder their own child without flinching, has no reason to have a life on this earth, Casey should have gotten the death penalty. I agree with the answerer above, it should be up to the victims family, whether Amanda gets the death penalty or not. Child murderers are the worst of these two evils.

There is something sinister and evil about Amanda knox. Casey Anthony's heinous crime was unforgivable but I feel there was an element of mental/emotional disturbance at the time of the atrocity. Foxy Knoxy would be a more calculating and menacing murderess who would appear to be someone who derives pleasure from killing and mutilating her victims. She is a frightening weirdo.

Both are guilty, if not murder but compliance with murder.
Anthony has shown the US court system is not infallible. It proved a jury regardless of the facts can be bamboozled by an experienced & capable defence team.
Knox was a stupid girl who had lax morals, chopped & changed her story many times, she implicated herself to look guilty.
Her appeal is going well so far, with the DNA evidence under suspicion.
Thankfully there's plenty of other evidence to support that her guilty conviction was fair & just, she murdered Meredith.
The death penalty I still believe to be up to victims families & friends whether they want an eye-for-an-eye.
