How much alcohol can I take with me to Korea?

Hi there!

I'd like to bring with me some presents in the form of alcoholics to Korea for my friends.

Actually I just want to bring three liters or so, potentially less because of the huge weight!

Now in the EU (or out of the EU) I can bring up to 10 litres as far as I see, but TO Korea I can only bring ONE bottle?! It's not even about the (milli)litres, but bottle amount? O.o

Incheon Airport states: Alcohol 1 bottle under $400 per liter

http://www.airport.kr/iiacms/pageWork.iia?_scode=C...

Is supposed to be duty free. I mean I'd maybe even pay "duties" (even though I already did in my home country!!?), but how much would that be? And why so little alcohol, if even the conservative European customs allow 10 litres (no bottle limit)?

Thanks in advance!

Update:

Ah and is there any limitation on sweets and stuff? I want to fill up my hand luggage with sweets (the alcohol goes into the checked luggage) for my friends, will customs / security make problems here?

It will only be like 50 EUROS maybe, Haribo, chocolate and other funky stuff...

Update 2:

Another thing: If I look at the customs declaration form (I remember mine last year looked different!), as I will NOT take as much stuff as to have to declare sth., BUT don't I have to declare "everything"? Like I mean, if I got this one bottle, I don't have to write it on the form? I mean there ISN'T EVEN SPACE FOR IT on the form! (http://www.airport.kr/eng/airport/inout/arrival_01... So I guess I won't declare all these presents and alcohol, if below the barrier?

You don't need to declare duty free items, hence "duty free." Whatever you buy at a standard store in your country is not duty free. Duty free items are tax free items that are bought at the airport or at select duty free malls. If you purchase duty free items before your trip at a duty free mall, you pick up your items after you check in. The 1 bottle limit apples to duty free alcohol.

You are only required to declare non duty free items. You can bring in as much alcohol as you want (or however much the airline will allow), but you will be required to declare it and possibly pay some sort of import tax. You can be lucky and just walk out the airport without declaring anything if they don't pull you aside for a random inspection. It's a gamble so choose wisely.

You can fill your bag with candy and you don't have to declare that kind of stuff.

In general, you only declare (relatively expensive) items that are new and unopened that is going to either be used as gifts or resold. (ie. you don't need to declare you own laptop even if it was just purchased)
