Have u ever receIved a counterfeit 10 or 20 dollar bill and if so did?

U RECOGNIZE IT RIGHT OFF? Now compare this with a religious system that claims they be following Christ. How will you know it is Counterfeit if u have not an idea of what Christ actually taught His disciples that not based on Tradition OF MEN ?

Update:

IF JESUS HIMSELF stated to be careful of the teachings of the Pharisees the religious rulers of His days How much more today with even more counterfeits posing as righteous followers . IS a counterfeit faith actually that easy to spot ?

    Counterfeit dollar bill? No, not here in the UK.

    Counterfeit religion is quite another matter. The number of religious bodies which claim to be the 'true' one yet only have a nodding acquaintance with the actual word of God in the Bible. Some prefer to put their own 'books' before the Bible yet the Scriptures warn against any Gospel which is not that taught by Jesus and the apostles. This in a time when just about anyone can gain access to the inspired word of God whether as an actual book or online. If they don't study it they won't understand what Jesus has done for any who will thankfully accept it and act upon it.

    Matthew 24

    14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

    Galatians 1

    8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

    There are so many counterfeit believers but I wasn't aware of it until I became idol-free
